Heather Hannoura was born in Windsor, Ontario in 1977, and she began painting and drawing as a tiny child. As a grown-up, Heather continues to create visually fantastic situations through her art, motivated by her own imaginations rather than reality. Her work is at once nostalgic and timeless, offering the viewer a unique glimpse into what once was, what is, and what could never be. Heather cleverly juxtaposes classic imagery with clean, stark lines and cutting irony. She is inspired by the grandeur of the past, and her artistic visions often include representations of fancy grandmas, mossy trees, jaunty caps, prosthetic limbs, flowers and scenes from old movies.

With experience in many mediums, Heather combines painting, collage, and photography in a unique fashion to create iconic images that have a lasting visual impact on viewers.

Throughout her life Heather has lived in Chicago, Detroit, and Oakland, and she currently resides in Gainesville, Florida. She was active in the San Francisco art community for years, during which time she exhibited her photographs, paintings and collages in shows around the bay area as well as across the country. In addition to showing her work in galleries, Heather has created art for many bands. As a "day job" Heather tours with her dear friends, The Alkaline Trio, and for them alone she has designed art for over one hundred shirts. Other bands she has worked with include AFI, Rancid, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

When not on tour Heather spends her time collecting scissors, making art, riding her bike to thrift stores, designing for bands, taking pictures, doing puzzles with her fabulous fiancé, and baking vegan treats in a fancy apron.
